All Lost Gestrals Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 – Rewards

The Lost Gestrals are small, elusive, and mischievous NPCs scattered throughout the game world of the French JRPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. There are a total of 9 missing gestals to find in the game, and they can be found both inside specific locations and on the large Continent map. Finding these creatures is a side activity that is tied to exploring the world and cannot be completed until you have unlocked all of Esquier’s skills. Finding all nine gestals unlocks a trophy/achievement of the same name, “The Lost Gestrals”.

Initially, the lost jestrals were under the care of Sastro, a mysterious NPC who will move to your camp after the first missing jestral is found. When you first meet Sastro, he will say: “When the Explorers find them, they are handed over to me to look after until someone from the Village comes for them. But nine of them, mischievous imps, escaped from me.”

Jestrals are not enemies, but rather hidden small characters that must be found by carefully exploring the game world and interior locations. Something like collectibles found in other adventure games .

After that, the player must find these lost creatures and ensure their safe return. The lost gestrals are connected to a side quest, so finding them will give you many valuable rewards. None of the gestrals are displayed on the map, so you will have to search for them manually, carefully exploring the surrounding world and paying attention to many visual details. After interacting with the found gestral, it automatically moves to the camp, where Sastro watches over it – something like a visual confirmation of your progress.

How to find lost Gestrals

Gestrals can be found in specific locations or in various corners of the vast Continent. They are often hidden in hard-to-reach places, behind simple puzzles and barriers that require skill to overcome. Attention and careful exploration are the keys to finding all nine.

  1. After you find the Gestral, it goes to the camp where it is looked after by Sastro.
  2. Lost Gestrals can hide in unique places and hidden corners of the world.
  3. Often, finding them requires observation or solving a simple problem.
  4. Once rescued, each of them will be taken to the camp and remain under Sastro’s care.

Finding a lost Gestral is more than just a collector’s quest. Each creature you rescue will earn you unique rewards, including:

Tips for finding lost Gestrals

  1. Listen to voices: if there is a young Gestral nearby, you will hear him talking.
  2. Explore the nooks and crannies of the Continent. Some Gestrals hide in trees or behind rocks.
  3. Sometimes you will need to defeat an optional boss to clear the path to a hidden Gestral.
  4. Once you unlock Esquier, it’s best to explore the world riding him – it gives you a better view of the Continent and allows you to move around faster.
  5. Return to previously visited locations, especially if you have unlocked new abilities for Esquier, such as destroying obstacles, swimming, destroying coral reefs, or the ability to fly (as late as Act III).
  6. Players can talk to Sastro at the camp to track how many Gestrals have been found so far.
